Chad and I have been praying about when to take a trip to Africa. We have been looking at October. We have also been praying about what organization to take the trip with.
I was reminded today about a ministry called World Orphans. They have a unique set up for caring for the orphans of the world. They seek to place them in family settings rather than large institutionalized orphanages. They work closely with local churches in Africa and they employ native people as well as missionaries.
"Blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear." Matthew 13:16
"Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know, and holds us responsible to act." Proverbs 24:12
"Give me your eyes for just one second. Give me your eyes so I can see, everything that I keep missing. Give me your love for humanity. Give me your arms for the broken-hearted, ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me your heart for the ones forgotten. Give me your eyes so I can see." lyrics from Brandon Heath
I am blessed to be loved, saved, and adopted by The King.
I am married to a wonderful man who loves and listens to God and me. I have been richly blessed with 4 amazing children who continually show me what undconditional love looks like and daily challenge me to grow. God has given me a passion for the poor, a heart for the forgotten children, and a responsibility to share His love with a dying world. I long to experience the heart of God.
